100% Oat Bread

Easy to make 100% oat flour bread in a few simple steps. A delicious loaf to be eaten on its own, toasted with a butter and honey or as a dip with hearty soup.

INGREDIENTS

DoughQuantity
Egg white60g
Water130ml
Orange paste30g
Earl grey powder½ tsp
Sugar50g
Oat flour250g
Saf-instant® Red instant dry yeast11g
Salt5g

PREPARE THE DOUGH

  1. Place all the dough ingredients into the stand mixer with batter hook except for the salt.
  2. Mix till fairly smooth.
  3. Add salt and continue to knead till its smooth.

SHAPING

  1. Shape the dough to your desired shape.
  2. Dust a layer of flour.
  3. Place dough on a baking tray, cover with a cloth and proof for approximately 45 minutes.

BAKING

  1. Pre-heat the oven at 170˚C and bake for 40 minutes.
  2. Remove from oven and allow bread to cool before serving.
